Prof. Zhengxian Yang

Research Area: Sustainable Concrete Materials and Durability

Research Experience:
Prof. Dr. Yang is a distinguished full professor in College of Civil Engineering at Fuzhou University and an adjunct professor in department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Washington State University. He obtained his Ph.D in Structural Engineering (Concrete Materials and Durability) from Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), The Netherlands. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry, and a Master’s degree in Physical Chemistry. He has more than 10 years of cross-disciplinary, international experience in conducting engineering and science research. His research has been funded by National Science Foundation (NSF), United States Department of Transportation (USDOT), Washington Department of Transportation (WDOT) and National Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Besides that, he has served as the PI, co-PI and/or key research staff for 17 research projects with a total budget of more than three million dollars. He has published more than 50 papers and 3 book chapters and has presented his scientific research in many international conferences. Dr. Yang has extensive professional services such as the Editorial Board member of “Advances in Concrete Construction (ACC), An international journal”; outstanding reviewer for journal of “Construction and Building Materials” and reviewer for numerous peer-reviewed journals, international conferences and proposals.
