Prof. Lijuan Li

Lijuan Li, female, is a Ph.D., Professor (Grade II) and Ph.D. supervisor. She is the director of the Academic Affairs Office of the Guangdong University of Technology, the leader of civil engineering of key disciplines in Guangdong Province, the head of the National Civil Engineering Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, and the head of the Civil Engineering Technology Research Center of Construction Industry in Guangdong Province. Her research directions include structural optimization design methods and applications, high-performance concrete materials, solid waste recycling, energy-saving technology building, constitutive models of engineering materials, and nonlinear structural analysis. Prof. Li has chaired over 49 scientific research projects, including five national-level projects and 24 provincial and ministerial-level projects, and participated in 36 research projects. She has published two English books (including chapters), three Chinese textbooks, 204 journal papers and more than 97 conference papers, among which more than 50 were indexed in SCI, 91 in EI, 35 in ISTP, and 108 in Chinese core journals. Prof. Li has won a second prize and two third prizes in Provincial Science and Technology (Natural Science). Also, she was awarded a first prize, a second prize, and a third prize in Provincial Excellent Teaching Achievement and obtained eight software copyrights and multiple invention patents. She supervised more than 50 graduate students and doctoral students.
Assoc. Prof. Sudharshan N. Raman

Dr. Sudharshan N. Raman was trained as a Civil Engineer, where he specialises in Structural Engineering, with research interests in structural resilience, concrete engineering and circular economy in construction. Dr. Raman completed his PhD at The University of Melbourne, Australia, focusing on structural engineering and infrastructure protective technologies. He has thus far received/led five external research grants from the Government of Malaysia, and has supervised 8 PhD candidates and 2 Masters (by research) candidates to completion. Dr. Raman was the President of the Malaysian Chapter of the American Concrete Institute (Malaysia Chapter – ACI) for the 2018-2020 Session, and is currently serving as the Immediate Past President. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), UK; a Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE); a Member of American Concrete Institute (ACI); a Senior Member of RILEM, the Vice-President III of the Concrete Society of Malaysia (CSM); and a Committee Member of the Civil & Structural Engineering Technical Division of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM). Dr. Raman is also an Adjunct Member of the Centre of Innovative Construction Technology (CICT) at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya, Malaysia.
Over the years, Dr. Raman has built his reputation as a researcher in concrete structures and materials, and infrastructure protective technologies. He has served as a Reviewer for prestigious journals in Civil & Structural Engineering, and the Built Environment; and currently sits on the Editorial Boards of three international journals. Dr. Raman has also been involved with numerous consultancy projects in structural engineering and infrastructure resilience, within the public and private sectors, both locally and internationally.
